Safeguarding & Attendance

ATTENDANCE

At John E Batty Primary School, we aim to support you with your child’s attendance. We strive for our children to be able to achieve their full potential which requires them to be in school on time daily.

Please see the attached poster which highlights the new attendance rules:

Evidence shows that the students with the highest attendance throughout their time in school gain the best GCSE and A Level results. Our research found that pupils who performed better both at the end of primary and secondary school missed fewer days than those who didn’t perform as well. (Education Hub 23)

HOME-SCHOOL AGREEMENT

We are committed to supporting you with your responsibility for the academic, physical, spiritual and moral education of your children. Parents/carers, pupils and teachers are required to sign our Home School Agreement, when your child starts in Nursery. It has been developed to encourage all parties to work supportively together.

This agreement is essential in implementing the aims of our school and is reviewed regularly. Each September all year groups hold Welcome meetings for parents, carers and children. We look forward to seeing you and discussing the year ahead.

If you have any questions or comments about our Home-School Agreement, please do not hesitate to talk to us about it.
