We have just been informed by the Trust that we are able to allow children to attend school later on Monday morning if they have stayed up to watch the England football match.
Any child arriving before 10.00am will not therefore be classed as being officially late on this day and their attendance record will not be adversely affected. Children attending after this time will be classed as being late after registration close.
Please note that if you decide that your child is to attend school late on this occasion, there will be no traffic wardens on duty except at their usual times. We would therefore recommend that you accompany your children to school in this case.
This decision has been made in view of the (possible) once in a lifetime event taking place on Sunday night. Please note that we will not close registers until 10.00am and if a child is not in school, we will not follow this up until after this time.
Where parents want their children to attend school at the normal times, they will be able to do so. The school will open to children at 8.40am in line with the normal staggered start times, and breakfast club will run as normal.
In addition, the children will be able to once again come to school in red and white on Monday if they want to, whether we win or lose, to show support for the team. This will be a non-uniform day. We are not collecting donations for this privilege this time.
Thank you for your support with this matter.
COME ON ENGLAND!
